I agree with mayergirl. I had an "old" version of Samantha (bought in 2001, right after the switch, one of the last ones) and she was the one who went almost totally bald (large area in back of head) and my Kirsten (bought in 2004) has awesome hair. My Addy doll had an manufacturing problem though...some hairs only go to her neck, annoying when doing a bun or something but really pretty harmless. I like Mattel dolls, personally. Some things I wish were more like Pleasant Co, though. But over all, I like the Mattel doll faces and such...
